What have I gained from becoming a minimalist?

Minimalism is about deliberately living with fewer possessions, focusing on only those you need.

Living with less can be the right choice if you're feeling overwhelmed by clutter, looking for fewer distractions, or wanting to cut back on spending.

Here are some of the benefits I have gained from practicing minimalism:

I use far fewer natural resources than most people. It's very rewarding to know that I'm helping to protect wildlife.

I have a lot of free time compared to most people who are busy shopping, tidying up, fixing things or looking for more things to buy.

I can pack my things for a weekend or a month in a matter of minutes. I could move in a couple of hours if I wanted to.

Unexpected spending on things that break just disappeared. Bills have shrunk in number and amount. I worry less about not having enough money.

My mind is no longer bogged down by things to fix or equipment to maintain. I don't waste time looking for things that are missing. I can focus on ideas, experiences and projects.
